About
I'm Lyanne Alfaro.
I'm an award-winning journalist and narrative advisor. I counsel leaders and institutions on authority and credibility at the moments when judgment carries weight.
I'm the founder and CEO of Project Reliable.
I learned credibility from both sides of the story
My career has moved between national newsrooms and influential institutions. That path sharpened my understanding of how narratives are formed and legitimized.
I began in business journalism, reporting on companies and the forces behind them. Then I went to work inside the organizations where narrative is built.
At Google, I led marketing across global developer channels. I shaped how emerging technologies were understood by technical and non-technical audiences worldwide.
Before that, at Nasdaq, I worked closely with IPO-stage companies. I advised on communications strategy, hosted on-air conversations with founders and executives, and launched the company's first podcast, Tomorrow's Capital, with CEO Adena Friedman.
Alongside that work, I founded Moneda Moves, a media platform and storytelling practice examining how Latinos are shaping the U.S. economy and the future of capital. What began as a reporting instinct has become a living archive of economic power as it moves, often before it's widely named.
In the room with founders
Today I coach founders inside startup incubators, including Robin Hood Blue Ridge Labs, 1871 and P33. I also served as a guest coach for Pharrell Williams' Black Ambition.
The founders I meet there have the expertise and the data. My work is helping the market see it.
